Storms and Invasives in the Pacific, with Heather Kerkering and Elliott Parsons
For this episode, we're joined by Heather Kerkering, the Assistant Regional Administrator for the US Geological Survey's Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center, based in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Elliott Parsons, a specialist with Pacific RISCC, which is the Pacific Regional Invasive Species and Climate Change Management Network, through the Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. They were here to talk about the work that their organizations conduct, particularly with a view to invasive species in the Pacific Islands context, and how that all relates to serious storms and other weather-related events.
